Who are Bayswater?
Bayswater or better known as 'no birds' have been in operation for over 50 years. They are an all-Australian family owned business aiming to provide the lowest cost car rental to their customers.
Who can hire a car with Bayswater?
Any one with a valid Green P license or higher.
What are their age restrictions?
You must be over 20 to drive a car. Additional fees apply to Green P holders, international drivers and those aged between 20-22 and over 80.
Are any roads off limits?
Yes, you are not allowed to drive in South Australia, Northern Territory and some of Western Australia. If you are travelling to the Snowy Mountains during the snow & ski season (June - September), you will need to purchase; Snow Cover - A $30 once-off fee which extends usage to include; Cooma, Jindabyne, Perisher, Selwyn & Thredbo.
Do they pose any distance restrictions?
A $100 fee extends usage to Queensland and Victoria when hiring a car in New South Wales. A $100 fee also applies in Western Australia to drive in certain areas. Any kilometers driven above 100 per day incur an additional fee.
Do Bayswater cover items stolen from within the hire car?
No, this is not an option provided when you hire one of their cars.
Use of vehicle
Like any rental car companies, you cannot use their vehicles for any illegal purposes, racing, contests or performance tests of any kind. You must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or have a blood alcohol content that exceeds the legal limit in the State or Territory in which the vehicle is driven.
Extra benefits
Every car from Bayswater is less than 3 years old and they all have a 5 star safety rating. Bayswater also offer airport transfer from the airport to your car for just $5 a person.
Don’t get fleeced
You’d be baaarmey not to buy car hire excess with Baaaney instead. A policy with CHE could cost as little as $10* a day and if you do have an accident, no matter if it's to the underbody or tyres, you pay nothing, zero, zilch, nada!
